Hello! My name is Bonnie Landry. I am a graduate of LSU School of Nursing Baccalaureate Program. I have been working as an RN in the hospital environment for over 18 years, caring for women and infants at every stage in the childbirth process. I have worked in both urban, busy settings, as well as more rural, subdued settings, making me familiar with the acceptable standards of care within those arenas. I am a member of AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses), providing me access to an endless library referencing multiple publications regarding past and present acceptable standards of care for this specific patient population. In addition to being a member of AWHONN, I am also certified as one of their instructors for fetal heart tone monitoring. I also possess certifications from the American Academy of Pediatrics to instruct caregivers on neonatal resuscitation, NCC (National Certification Center) for Inpatient Obstetrics, and from the Vickie Milazzo Institute for Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.
I will continue to practice in the hospital setting as long as I am physically able to do so. I absolutely love taking care of families during the life-changing events surrounding childbirth and look forward to providing service to the community as a consultant. I hope that the combination of my experience, knowledge, and overall ability to pay attention to detail will assist with improving practices to further improve patient outcomes in the future.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Bonnie B. Landry, RNC, BSN, CLNC
